Congratulations to our Peak Performance Artists of 2009 - WE ARE THE CITY! They take home the Peak Summit award of $150,00 towards career development. Taking the second place (and still massive) award of $75,000 is THE LEFT! And sharing in the huge prize money is BEND SINISTER with an award of $50,000! Peak Performance Project 2010 Applications will open on Friday March 19th 2010, and close on Friday April 30th, 2010. Updated guidelines and eligibility requirements for 2010 coming soon! In a nutshell: The PEAK Performance Project is a seven-year, $5.29 million contest open to all musicians in British Columbia. The project was created by 100.5 The PEAK and Music BC to develop BC based emerging artists. Every year, twenty finalists from BC will receive an intensive, one week training program in the music business, live performance, songwriting, marketing and promotion. Artists will benefit from mentorships from some of the music industry’s top professionals and performers. ...

At the Peak Bootcamp, our top 20 artists were given a challenge - write a song based on the title, "In A Minute". It was meant as a songwriting exercise, but turned out to be one of the most enjoyable aspects of Camp! For the next 24 hours, you could hear artists strumming away, and joining together to create once in a lifetime collaborations on original music.
